Ernie Trammell knows that when people come to him, it’s often a last resort. A lawyer whose practice focuses on representing injured workers, his clients are often in need of medical care and have lost their income. “They turn to us when they have no one else to turn to,” he says. “So it’s very satisfying to be able to help somone get back on his feet and get on with his life. That’s the joy of it for me.”

Trammell grew up in Anderson before attending Mercer University in Macon, GA., for his undergraduate and law degrees. Once his education was complete, he returned to Anderson and has been practicing law for the last 24 years. In 1996 he opened his own practice, the Trammell Law Firm, P.A., and it currently employs two other attorneys, both of whom are Mercer graduates. Brad Bledsoe, with more than 20 years experience, represents Social Security disability claimants. The newest attorney, Trey Mills, aspires to be a litigator and focuses his practice on personal injury issues.
